Community Farm Revival

In our commitment to promoting local food production and community engagement, FAFPI recently initiated a Community Farm Revival project. We’ve worked hand-in-hand with community member farmers to revitalize neglected green spaces into thriving farms. These farms serve as hubs for education, fresh produce cultivation, and neighbourhood connections. Through workshops and hands-on farm experiences, we’re equipping individuals with the skills and confidence to grow their own food sustainably.

Farmer Resilience Program

In response to the ever-changing challenges faced by local farmers, FAFPI launched the Farmer Resilience Program. This initiative provides crucial support to farmers, including access to sustainable farming resources, pest management solutions, and soil health assessments. Our team of agricultural experts conducts on-site consultations and offers tailored guidance to enhance farming practices. Food Preservation Workshops Expansion

Our popular Food Preservation Workshops have been in high demand, reflecting a growing interest in reducing food waste and enhancing food security. To meet this demand, FAFPI expanded its workshop offerings to include more diverse food preservation techniques. These workshops teach participants how to safely can, dehydrate, ferment, and store their harvests, ultimately extending the shelf life of fresh produce and reducing post-harvest loss.
